The time from contemplating traveling the country in an RV to already being three years in seems like months...not years. This year we decided to go southwest by heading north via Michigan's upper peninsula. Brilliant choice and we found some new favorite (Taquamenon Falls) and LESS favorite (Dalhart, Texas) places to visit and stay. Non-stop drizzling rain made for better hiking than photography in Taquamenon Falls but it successfully ensured having nearly the entire state park to ourselves. It was the most incredible display of Fall in my lifetime. Dead batteries and blown converter fuses attempted to dampen our joy to no avail. No heat or electricity DID remind us that our big RV with stainless appliances and massaging furniture is still camping after all.
